1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in much the same way. Some are needed for a site to work; others, like analytics and advertising cookies, are optional and are only used if you agree.

2. Strictly Necessary Storage

These are always on, because the website needs them to work. They never leave your browser and are not used to track you.

• Your cookie choice (fgm:consent, local storage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics and advertising cookies, so we don't ask on every page. It is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again.
• Your enquiry (fgm:submission, session storage): after you send the consultation form, it holds a copy of your answers so the confirmation page can show them back to you. It is deleted when you close the tab.

3. Analytics and Advertising Cookies (Optional)

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website, such as which pages are viewed most and whether the consultation form is working well. This helps us improve the site.

Google Analytics sets these cookies:

• _ga: distinguishes one visitor from another. Kept for up to 2 years.
• _ga_8PX52P26WF: keeps track of your current visit. Kept for up to 2 years.

With the same permission, we also use Google's advertising cookies. These let us see whether our Google adverts lead to enquiries, and allow Google to show our adverts to people who have visited our site. Google Ads may set:

• _gcl_au: links a visit to an advert you clicked, so we can measure which adverts work. Kept for up to 90 days.
• Cookies on Google's own domains (such as google.com and doubleclick.net), which Google uses to measure and personalise adverts across the sites you visit. These are controlled by Google; you can manage them in Google's ad settings.

Google records things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (town or region). We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, home address or anything you type into our form.

For analytics and ads measurement, Google acts as our data processor. For personalised advertising, Google acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Either way it may process the data outside the UK, under safeguards approved by UK law. You can read more in Google's explanation of how it uses information from sites that use its services.

If you decline, or simply don't choose, none of these cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google.

4. Changing Your Choice

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link, which also appears at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we remove the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies set on our site from your browser.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't stop our website from working.
